Katy Devitt holds a BSc in Life Sciences from McMaster University and an MSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia. She has over 20 years of experience in the health sector, beginning her career in 2004 with roles implementing research and quality improvement initiatives in oncology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and later in the Department of Surgery at Toronto General Hospital. In 2017, she joined the charitable sector as Manager of Research Programs at Crohn’s and Colitis Canada. In 2021, Katy became Project Manager for CASCADES (Creating a Sustainable Canadian Health System in a Climate Crisis) at the University of Toronto, and since November 2025, she has been a core member of the Coordination and Support Team for the Pan-Canadian Network on Health System Response to Climate Change.
