Brooke Young is a Master of Global Health candidate at the University of British Columbia with interests in planetary health, emergency medicine, and sustainable healthcare. Prior to graduate studies, she worked for five years as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, which shaped her interest in health systems and emergency preparedness. She is particularly interested in advancing greener, more resilient healthcare that protects both Canadians and the environments they live in. When she’s not studying or working, Brooke can usually be found outside, often with her two huskies in tow.
